An Age of Sigmar Novel Only the kill soothes the storm in my soul. Only the kill proves I am the daughter Sigmar made me to be. READ IT BECAUSE Follow Sigmar’s Prime Huntress, Yndrasta, as she stalks her prey through the treacherous Realm of Ghur. Can she find and slay this creature, or will she discover a more dangerous monster in her own reflection? THE STORY The nomadic sled-city of Riika-Min glides endlessly along the icy tundra of Ghur, its denizens’ existence entwined with the rhythm of the realm. But something is disrupting the balance of the Realm of Beasts, and when a kraken suddenly attacks, Sigmar sends his master tracker, Yndrasta, the Celestial Spear, to hunt it down. In Riika-Min, Yndrasta meets Njda, trying to guide her people to safety. Njda is at once fearful and in awe of the golden-clad warrior from the sky, and soon learns how dangerous it can be to get between a hunter and her quarry – because for all her fearsome beauty, Yndrasta is just as deadly as the beast they seek. As they close in on their target, Njda must teach Yndrasta the ways of the Realm of Beasts, and she soon finds herself wondering who the real monster is – the leviathan lurking in the deep, or the Celestial Spear sent down from the heavens? Written by Noah Van Nguyen.
  • Kroot Hounds are predatory kin-beasts, kept as hunting animals by Kroot kindreds. Once set loose in packs, they lope swiftly across the battlefield in search of prey. Kroot Hounds are driven into a feeding frenzy by the scent of blood, and pounce upon their victims with frightening swiftness, ripping and tearing with beak-like maws and vicious talons. This multipart plastic kit builds five Kroot Hounds, swift hunting beasts for the Kroot of the T'au Empire. These ravenous creatures prowl or bound forward in a variety of poses, ready to snap at the enemy's flanks or savage a vulnerable foe. The Kroot regard their Hounds as partners, and adorn them with bracelets, quill-beads, and vambraces, offering plenty of details and textures to break up their tough hides and spiked quills. This kit comprises 21 plastic components and 5x Citadel 28.5mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • Kroot Lone-spears are grizzled mercenaries who range far ahead of their kindreds, or solitary wanderers who prefer the wilds and the company of beasts to their fellow Kroot. Mounted upon colour-shifting Kalamandras, they make for effective long-range scouts – and when armed with suitably potent weapons, Lone-spears excel in picking off valuable enemy targets or even eliminating armoured vehicles. This multipart plastic kit builds a Kroot Lone-spear, a cunning outrider for the Kroot of the T'au Empire. The Lone-spear is mounted atop a tamed Kalamandra, an agile amphibious creature with a vicious bite and the ability to hide in plain sight. They carry a choice of deadly hunting weapons – either a massive Kroot long gun for sniping prey at a distance, or an explosive blast javelin and a quiver of razor-tipped hunting javelins for taking out high-value victims up-close. You'll also find several cosmetic build options – a choice of heads for the Lone-spear, plus heads and poses for their Kalamandra – to further personalise this wandering hunter. This kit comprises 35 plastic components and a Citadel 90mm x 52mm Oval Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • Kroot Trail Shapers are more than simply masters of fieldcraft – through sheer skill, they shape the very battlefield upon which the Kroot will meet their prey, defining the guiding routes along which the hunt will progress and the nature of the engagements in which their kindreds will fight. A single Trail Shaper can alter the entire character of a war in the favour of the T'au Empire. This multipart plastic kit builds a Kroot Trail Shaper, an experienced scouting leader for the Kroot forces employed by the T'au Empire. Draped in a hunter's shawl and hood, with their finely-made Kroot rifle ready to reload and a vicious Shaper's blade hooked at their belt, the Trail Shaper marks out fresh routes and targets for the kindred to pursue. Through their wisdom, Kroot warriors can engage enemies from advantageous vectors and shift the course of battle. This kit comprises 11 plastic components and a Citadel 32mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • Kroot Flesh Shapers are masters of their kindred's genetic development, guiding hunting packs to the finest specimens in order to devour and claim their strength for the Kroot. These revered gene-shamans employ gruesome talismans and ritualised butchery to take the art of consumption to sacred and visceral extremes, with immediate and striking psychosomatic effects on their fellow Kroot. This multipart plastic kit builds a Kroot Flesh Shaper, a fearsome leader for the Kroot forces employed by the T'au Empire. The Flesh Shaper brandishes a pair of ritualistic butcher's blades for carving up carefully-chosen prey, and keeps a Kroot scattergun slung over their back in a holster. They are draped in the grisly charms of their art, ranging from strung bones and spare blades to meat hooks and a Kroot skull. This kit comprises 8 plastic components and a Citadel 32mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • Krootox Rampagers are terrifying skirmish cavalry, combining the aggression and agility of juvenile Krootox mounts with the vicious skill and cunning of a Kroot rider. Rampager packs strike fast at their foes from unexpected quarters, launching a heavyweight ambush that breaks their battle lines and leaves them vulnerable to the rest of the hunting pack. This multipart plastic kit builds three Krootox Rampagers, belligerent Kroot kin-beasts ridden into battle by daring alien warriors. The Kroot riders strike out from atop their steeds with pistols and long-handled blades, as well as quivers full of vicious hunting javelins. The Krootox themselves bound forward on muscular arms, trampling into enemies with prodigious strength and bellowing mass. You'll also find several cosmetic build options to help mix up your Rampager packs – including interchangeable heads and different weapon arms for the Kroot warriors, as well as plenty of accessories like grenades, knives, and armour plates to hang from both kin-beasts and riders. This kit comprises 77 plastic components and Citadel 3x 50mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • Krootox Riders are living gun platforms, loaded with armaments that would be far too bulky for light-footed Kroot infantry. Though the Krootox are not naturally aggressive, these powerful beasts regard their fellow Kroot as packmates, and will lash out with fearsome strength to defend their kin. Guided by gunners who sway atop their steeds in sturdy harnesses, they lumber into battle to provide mobile fire support for aggressive hunting packs. This multipart plastic kit builds one Krootox Rider, an elder Kroot kin-beast with a gunner perched atop its broad back. The Krootox carries one of two heavy weapons into battle – either a rapid-fire repeater cannon that can punch through armoured troops or even light vehicles with a barrage of charged rounds, or a tanglecannon that launches explosive bolas to shred entire hordes. When the fighting draws too close, it crushes foes into pulp with its massive, muscular fists. You'll also find cosmetic build options to help mix up your Krootox herds – including three different heads for both the Krootox and its Kroot gunner, as well as optional accessories to hang from kin-beast or rider. This kit comprises 43 plastic components and a Citadel 50mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • Kroot War Shapers are experienced battle leaders, responsible for both the composition and disposition of Kroot hunting packs in the field. They are also exemplary warriors in their own right, striding into battle armed with traditional weaponry that is no less deadly for its symbolic, antiquated natures. Under a War Shaper’s merciless gaze, prey quail while the kindred find renewed strength. This multipart plastic kit builds a Kroot War Shaper, a skilled commander for the Kroot forces employed by the T'au Empire. This cloaked strategist carries a Shaper's blade and Kroot pistol at their belt, alongside a choice of paired traditional weaponry – either a double-ended bladestave and ensnaring preyhook, or a powerful dart-bow and vicious thrown tri-blade. You'll also find cosmetic build options to personalise your War Shaper – two different heads, two designs of shoulder armour, and a spare pistol or quiver of arrows. As well as a perfect leader for any contingent of Kroot mercenaries, the War Shaper is an absolutely wonderful miniature for painters, loaded with different textures to showcase your skills. This kit comprises 20 plastic components and a Citadel 32mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

Each Hermes Light Sentinel is ridden by a pilot in void armour, and can be armed with either a multi-laser or a grenade launcher. • The Medusa and Basilisk artillery tanks employed by the Solar Auxilia are armoured bombardment platforms, their heavy guns mounted on a hull derived from the Leman Russ. Enclosed against enemy fire and protected from the hazardous atmospheres of toxic or alien worlds, these mobile siege batteries can keep pace with the cohort's advance, pummelling the foe's positions even as main line units move to engage any survivors. This multipart plastic kit builds one Solar Auxilia Basilisk or Medusa, an armoured artillery tank mounted with a powerful siege gun. The Basilisk's long-barrelled Earthshaker cannon hurls explosive shells across incredible distances, while the Medusa's mortar fires munitions heavy enough to shatter mighty walls. The tank has a fully detailed interior, and the rear door and roof can be opened to reveal two crew loading its siege gun. • The Night Goblins are descended from Goblin tribes who long ago ventured into the deep caves and caverns beneath the World's Edge Mountains. • The magic wielded by Goblin Shamans is no less destructive than that of their larger Orcish peers, but while Orc Shamans chant and gyrate around the battlefield, Goblin Oddnobs and Oddgits skulk close by their kin, working spells and spitting curses far from the eyes of the enemy. It is unclear how this affects their magic, but Goblin Shamans seem to live longer than their Orc counterparts... This multipart plastic kit builds one Goblin Shaman, a diminutive but powerful wizard of the Orc & Goblin Tribes. The Shaman's skull-tipped staff is strung with arcane trinkets, perfect for channeling the power of Mork (or possibly Gork). He's posed atop a mushroom-studded rock, hunched over a mystical mortar and pestle made from the remains of an unfortunate 'umie victim. This kit comprises five plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 25mm Square Base. It includes a Citadel 20mm Square Base with sculpted scenic features, not meant for game use – elements of which have been used as basing material in the pictures shown here. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
  • By lashing together roughly-hewn planks and bolting round(ish) wheels to a sturdy axle, Orcs can build formidable chariots drawn by pairs of boars. Keen to make the most of their status in the eyes of others, Orc charioteers will constantly mess with their vehicle, adding extra ornamentation and painting them in bold, flashy colours. This multipart plastic kit builds 2 Orc Boar Chariots, for use in Orc & Goblin Tribes in games of Warhammer: The Old World. The Orc crew can be equipped with hand weapons and cavalry spears, and the chariots come with with different cosmetic build options, including a fierce-looking bosspole. • While individual Goblins may be cowardly creatures, these diminutive raiders draw courage from numbers. When gathered in large mobs, they are emboldened to a frightening degree, each Goblin believing that harm is more likely to befall someone else, instead of them – and that it'll be hilarious when it does. A tide of cackling Goblins can overwhelm almost any enemy, making up for a lack of skill with sheer numbers. This multipart plastic kit builds 40 Goblins, cackling mobs that gather amongst the Orc & Goblin Tribes. Each Goblin can be armed with either a thrusting spear and a crude shield, or a shortbow and quiver of arrows. • Many Goblin tribes are nomadic in nature, traversing the wilderness in huge, ramshackle caravans. These nomadic Goblins breed giant wolves as mounts, riding atop fast and agile hunters that can cover vast distances with ease. Roaming packs of Wolf Riders scout out the land, encircle the enemy, and pounce upon any foe foolish enough to be caught alone. After wearing down their victims with arrows and lightning-quick attacks, these mobs vanish into the distance before even a single retaliatory blow can be struck. This multipart plastic kit builds 15 Goblin Wolf Riders, outriders for the Orc & Goblin Tribes. Each Wolf Rider can be armed with either a spear and a crude shield, or a shortbow and quiver of arrows – as well as the claws and fangs of their lupine mounts, of course. • Some Orcs have adopted ill-tempered boars as their mounts. Once up to speed, boars can be almost unstoppable, their powerfully churning legs propelling them into the enemy where their goring tusks and stamping hooves can do untold damage. From atop their precarious perch, an Orc can set about the foe with spear and choppa, knowing that should they fall, their mount will give them a proper good kicking. This multipart plastic kit builds 10 Orc Boar Boyz, in two smaller mobs of five, or one brutal mob of all ten. • Peasant Bowmen are called up from the lowborn serfs of Bretonnia's dukedoms, expected to take up their own longbows and engage enemies unworthy of the attention of a knight's attention from afar. Most peasants have trained with the bow from a young age, but to make their numbers count on the battlefield, these archers congregate into massed units that direct volley after volley of arrows into the enemy. • The Lords of Bretonnia are renowned warriors – Dukes, Barons, and Paladins who charge out to defend their domains – but only the most wealthy and influential can ride a Royal Pegasus into battle. These proud and intelligent creatures are said to be the purest of their kind, and allow their noble riders to quickly engage and trample the foe in pursuit of honour and glory. This multipart plastic kit builds a Lord of Bretonnia, mounted on a Royal Pegasus – one of the mightiest beasts to grace the Kingdom of Bretonnia's stables. The noble rider can be built in one of two ways – wielding a sword, with an open-faced helm and a finely-decorated flowing cape, or carrying a lance and shield, with their face hidden behind a heraldic helm topped by a shrine to the Lady.
