A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus Lord Commissar Sebastian Yarrick is one of the foremost heroes of the Imperium, with a legend forged in the brutal crucible of battle on Armageddon. But his career didn't start there. This anthology will give you a full account of his rise to fame. With two full novels and seven short stories, there's a lot to cover. READ IT BECAUSE Few characters in the Imperium are as inspirational as Commissar Yarrick. Famed for his actions on Armageddon and his connection to Ghazghkull Thraka, you can now trace his evolution through stories that give an account of his many deeds. THE STORY In Imperial Creed, we meet a young Commissar Yarrick on his first real assignment. He quickly learns that in war, things are not always as they seem, and he must adapt to a rapidly evolving situation as loyalties are tested. The Pyres of Armageddon takes us to the world of Armageddon, where the largest ork horde seen for centuries has hit the hive world. As battle rages across the planet, Yarrick and his allies will not let Armageddon fall. In Chains of Golgotha, Commissar Yarrick tracks down Ghazghkull Thraka to the desolate world of Golgotha, leading an armoured company to destroy the beast. A Plague of Saints takes us to the barren world of Molossus. With the inquisition at his back and a ragged force of rebels before him, Yarrick must discover the cause of an uprising and bring it to an end. Thrown into battle alongside the charismatic but reckless Captain Marsec, Commissar Yarrick faces a tough decision in The Wreckage. Will he unleash the Emperor's judgement and risk damaging morale, or trust in Marsec's ability to lead? Evil Eye tells the tale of a tortured prisoner protected by a fellow captive on an ork warship. But what manner of man dares to stand up to a mighty ork? Only one man – Commissar Sebastian Yarrick. In The Gallows Saint, Commissar Yarrick deploys to Abydos to watch a great triumph in honour of the forces who liberated the world from the grip of the alien t'au. But when the planet's governor is assassinated, Yarrick is drawn into a political game with deadly consequences. Sacrificial tells of a young Yarrick and the Armageddon Steel Legion facing corrupted cultists on the planet Mistral. The collection is rounded out with Sarcophagus, as Yarrick is trapped in an overturned tank after being caught in a bombing run on Armageddon. He fights to escape and return to his forces, but as he emerges, he finds himself surrounded by foes. An Astra Militarum Novel The Kasrkin known as the Tattershields were left alone in the wake of Cadia's fall. Led by an indomitable sergeant, they fight on despite their bleak situation, facing down Chaos cultists and worse. READ IT BECAUSE It's a grim tale with little hope to be found, but courage is never in short supply. No matter the odds they face, these remnants of Cadia simply refuse to give in. Witness their struggle as they fight against all reason or expectation of success, in a 5-part serial, a short story, and a novella. THE STORY They were the best of the best. Now they are all that is left. When Cadia fell, a handful of traumatised survivors found themselves stranded on a ruined world carved apart by rival cults. Since then, the Kasrkin veterans known as the Tattershields have anchored the crumbling Imperial defence, holding back the overwhelming might of the Archenemy with sabotage, assassinations, and unbreakable discipline. Their commander, Sergeant Kostantin Taikon, is an inspiration to the beleaguered defenders. But he is haunted by guilt and consumed by fatalism, numbly fighting on with no hope of victory or atonement. The Imperials’ grip on the planet is slipping. Infiltrators sow discord in their ranks, and a sadistic new enemy is bearing down upon them. But when all hope is dead, only defiance remains, and Taikon will lead his indomitable Kasrkin to the bitter end. Written by William Crowe. A Warhammer 40,000 Novel Kaptin Skeeg Horntoof is an ork freebooter with a simple code to follow, and a plan to plunder untold riches. Of course, nothing ever goes to plan, and he may have given himself a task that's bigger than his ambitions. Will his crew allow him to drag them into a quagmire, or will they take matters into their own hands? READ IT BECAUSE Take the plunge into a world of ambition, power, and adventure, where every ork is out for themselves. The life of a freebooter isn't a simple one, but it IS exciting – and you just never know when you're going to strike it rich. Just remember, NO ORK CAN DO A MUTINY! THE STORY Skeeg Horntoof is an ork with big dreams: the biggest hat, the most dakka, and the ambition to become the greatest freebooter the galaxy has ever seen. As kaptin of Gork’s Revenge, he is guided by Da Freebooterz Code – a set of rules so outrageous they just might work. With a krew of misfits, meks, and mutineers, he sets out on a quest for loot and glory. This time, though, Horntoof may have bitten off more than he can chew – the kaptin has instructed his boyz to plunder the hunting grounds of the legendary rogue trader Lord Captain Antoinette von Hume. Deadly, resourceful, and merciless, the pirate queen of the Halo Stars has been pillaging her way across the void for decades, and an upstart freebooter with a big hat isn't about to get in her way. But Horntoof has his eyes on the biggest prize of all, and he has a plan – one that will take all his guile, all his kunnin’, and all his dakka. Da Freebooterz Code is going to make him a legend… as long as von Hume doesn’t obliterate him first. Written by Justin Woolley. -
