Before war came to Tallarn, few planets could match its splendour and abundance. Then the Iron Warriors came, and fewer planets still would be subject to such spite and ruin. But the people of Tallarn refused to lay down and die, rising up in defence of their ruined world, with the aid of the loyal Legions of the Adeptus Astartes. The Death of Tallarn This gaming supplement for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy details the early stages of the war for the planet Tallarn during the Horus Heresy, with a focus on the use of massed forces of armoured vehicles in battle. Covering both the organisation of the various forces involved in the conflict and the means by which the war was fought, this journal presents a vital resource for recreating these pivotal struggles on the battlefields of the Horus Heresy. This 48-page softcover supplement contains: – In-depth Lore: A detailed look at the world of Tallarn, both before and after the destruction that was wrought upon it, as well as detailed records of the forces that fought upon it. – Additional Missions: A full Historical Mission that allows players to fight the brutal action of The Road to Salvation and experience the harrowing war fought upon Tallarn’s ruined surface. – Solar Auxilia Army List and extras: Includes rules to represent the Toxic Terrain of Tallarn, lost and abandoned cohorts of Battle-automata, as well as updated rules for Solar Auxilia Rapier Sections. There are also rules for Command Tanks for the Solar Auxilia and Legiones Astartes, allowing vehicle High Command options for those Army Lists, and an Armoured Clash Mission pack focused on battles between tank armies. You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook and Liber Auxilia, both available separately, to make full use of this gaming supplement. -
Charonite Ogryns are biochemically and cybernetically altered abhumans. Mutilated in mind and body, they are creatures of brute obedience and drug-induced frenzy. The difficult and unstable technologies used in their creation were deemed unholy by the Mechanicum and may, in part, have alien origins. Augmented Abhumans This multipart plastic kit builds 4 Charonite Ogryns, ruthless line-breaking infantry for your Solar Auxilia armies in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Their hands and forearms have been replaced by a brutal collection of weapons that amplify their already fearsome strength, so they can rip through armour plating and flesh with ease. They are ideal for the ferocious close confines of boarding actions or the deadly press of melee, where they easily devastate foes. Armed for War The torsos are interchangeable across the legs in the kit, allowing you to customise your brutes, and 2 of the torsos each have a choice of 2 heads – masked or unmasked – with a choice of 2 faces. You can choose from some suitably terrifying weapons – power armour-breaching claws, horde-slaying blades, tank-busting crushers, or the appropriately named shredders. Peasant levies are recruited from villages and towns, small settlements that lie outside the towering walls of Cathayan grand cities. A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus Lord Commissar Sebastian Yarrick is one of the foremost heroes of the Imperium, with a legend forged in the brutal crucible of battle on Armageddon. But his career didn't start there. This anthology will give you a full account of his rise to fame. With two full novels and seven short stories, there's a lot to cover. READ IT BECAUSE Few characters in the Imperium are as inspirational as Commissar Yarrick. Famed for his actions on Armageddon and his connection to Ghazghkull Thraka, you can now trace his evolution through stories that give an account of his many deeds. THE STORY In Imperial Creed, we meet a young Commissar Yarrick on his first real assignment. He quickly learns that in war, things are not always as they seem, and he must adapt to a rapidly evolving situation as loyalties are tested. The Pyres of Armageddon takes us to the world of Armageddon, where the largest ork horde seen for centuries has hit the hive world. As battle rages across the planet, Yarrick and his allies will not let Armageddon fall. In Chains of Golgotha, Commissar Yarrick tracks down Ghazghkull Thraka to the desolate world of Golgotha, leading an armoured company to destroy the beast. A Plague of Saints takes us to the barren world of Molossus. With the inquisition at his back and a ragged force of rebels before him, Yarrick must discover the cause of an uprising and bring it to an end. Thrown into battle alongside the charismatic but reckless Captain Marsec, Commissar Yarrick faces a tough decision in The Wreckage. Will he unleash the Emperor's judgement and risk damaging morale, or trust in Marsec's ability to lead? Evil Eye tells the tale of a tortured prisoner protected by a fellow captive on an ork warship. But what manner of man dares to stand up to a mighty ork? Only one man – Commissar Sebastian Yarrick. In The Gallows Saint, Commissar Yarrick deploys to Abydos to watch a great triumph in honour of the forces who liberated the world from the grip of the alien t'au. But when the planet's governor is assassinated, Yarrick is drawn into a political game with deadly consequences. Sacrificial tells of a young Yarrick and the Armageddon Steel Legion facing corrupted cultists on the planet Mistral. The collection is rounded out with Sarcophagus, as Yarrick is trapped in an overturned tank after being caught in a bombing run on Armageddon. He fights to escape and return to his forces, but as he emerges, he finds himself surrounded by foes. Mutilators change their grotesque, warp-saturated forms at will, sprouting monstrously oversized close combat weapons and mutant siege appendages depending on the foes they face. Bursting amidst coruscating teleportation flares with metallic roars, the hulking brutes charge headlong into their shocked victims to butcher everything within arm's reach. They have an irrepressible need for slaughter that can only be sated in close combat. With their newly formed weapons held aloft, they are ideal to lead your crushing charges. Malice Made Manifest Clad in twisted Terminator armour, they are now mutated beyond recognition with twisted flesh and horns bursting from seams in their once-noble plate. Their limbs terminate in wild clusters of horrific fleshmetal weapons, including heavy maces and massive power claws. The Knight Destrier is agile and fleet-footed. Employing rocket thrusters, skilled pilots are able to lend greater speed to their charge, tearing into the foe with thundershock spears or reaper chainswords before mowing down what remains of their enemies with hails of chastiser gatling rounds or explosive munitions from their frag bombards. Fleet of Foot and Sharp of Blade This multipart plastic kit builds one Knight Destrier, a swift walker for your Imperial Knights armies in games of Warhammer 40,000. Standing at 170mm, they’re taller than an Armiger but smaller than a Questoris-class Knight. Aggressive, agile, and well-suited to engaging the enemy at close quarters, they can tie up key assets while the rest of your force stomps forward with impunity. Noble Adaptations There are 2 straightforward poses for the legs, and an advanced option for more experienced Warhammer hobbyists. The kit includes 3 different face masks, and the hatch can be built closed or open, showing off the detailed interior and pilot. It can be armed with either a multi-barrelled heavy calibre chastiser gatling cannon to sweep aside infantry, or an explosive shell-firing frag bombard. To accompany this is an oversized rocket-assisted thundershock spear to punch clean through reinforced armour, or a versatile reaper chainsword to scythe through hordes or gut monstrous creatures with a single blow. These weapons can be mounted on either arm, making it easy to customise your devastating war machine, and the thundershock spear has 2 assembly options.
