Like a hungry predator on the prowl, the Hammerhead Gunship is a menacing sight. It skims over a planet's surface with its massive turret-mounted gun swivelling back and forth to track potential targets before unleashing a devastating salvo to destroy them utterly. The Hammerhead Gunship kit is an impressive centrepiece to a collection of T'au Empire miniatures. Notable about the kit is the laterally extended nose, the tips of which can feature a pair of burst cannons or smart missiles systems. Its sleek panels curve up towards a wider body that can support a fearsome turret-mounted gun – either a railgun or ion cannon – which can swivel in different directions. It features two vectored engines, which can also be tilted at various angles. The kit also comes with a pair of optional weapon upgrades in the form of powerful seeker missiles. This multipart plastic kit contains 88 components and a T'au transfer sheet, and can be assembled as either a Hammerhead Gunship or a Sky Ray Gunship. This kit comes supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints. -

Heavily armed and armoured, Valkyries are agile carrier-gunships with experienced crews. Their pilots weave them through enemy fighters and ground fire to deliver their payload of soldiers, dropping them from high altitude via grav-chutes or hovering at lower levels while the troops jump out to storm the landing zone. This multipart plastic kit builds one Valkyrie – a twin-engine attack aircraft that can transport troops into battle. It sports a choice of nose-mounted weapon – either a lascannon or multi-laser – as well as a pair of underslung hellstrike missiles or rocket pods, mounted beneath its wings. The Valkyrie features a highly detailed interior, including a pair of optional door-gunners crewing heavy bolters, as well as two pilots with a choice of heads, visible beneath a clear plastic canopy. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. -
Looming ghost warriors many times larger than even the mighty Wraithlords, the war machines known as Wraithknights are still dextrous enough to run through the ruin of a shattered city, leaping from pillar to spar as their arcane weapons bring oblivion to the enemies of the Aeldari. Dominating the tabletop, the Wraightknight is an enormous model, standing almost 9” tall at its highest point at the top of the Warp vanes. There are a variety of different armaments available to this kit. Its left arm can be equipped with either a wraithcannon or a scattershield. The right arm has a choice of wraithcannon, ghostglaive or suncannon. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war. The galaxy writhes in the mailed fist of all-consuming war. The Imperium teeters on the brink of annihilation, beset upon all sides by heretic warlords, daemon-summoning witches, and rapacious alien empires. The Great Rift sunders the void, a ragged wound torn through the heart of the Emperor's realm and bleeding madness and mutation across all. In every star system and upon every planet, battle rages more fiercely than ever before as loyalists, heretics, and aliens tear reality itself apart in their war dominance. Every day the flames rise higher – this is a more terrible era than ever before, for there is no peace amongst the stars… The Book This 280-page hardback book is an essential guide to Warhammer 40,000, and contains everything you need to know to collect, build, paint, and play with Citadel miniatures in the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium. You'll find an overview of the Warhammer 40,000 hobby in all its aspects, core rules for playing out battles that range from small skirmishes to massive Onslaught games, and an in-depth introduction to this rich and ruinous setting through immersive lore, stunning illustrations and photography, and an evocative look at each of the factions waging war in the far future. THE WARHAMMER 40,000 HOBBY The book opens with an introduction to this amazing hobby through its four keys – Collect, Build, Paint, and Play. You'll find out how to start your collection of Citadel miniatures, learn how people build and paint their models, and get suggestions to tools and guides that will help further. You'll also begin your journey as a commander with a look at how, where, and why players engage in dynamic tabletop battles of Warhammer 40,000, an example Battle Report between two armies, and an explanation of different styles of play – self-contained Combat Patrols, competitive Chapter Approved games, and narrative Crusade campaigns. DARK IMPERIUM This expansive lore section provides a doorway into the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium. It is a far-distant future dominated by an oppressive and corrupt Human empire, its crumbling borders defended by doomed heroes and imperiled by threats from both without and within, its history marked by ignorance and carnage and the laughter of thirsting gods. The first part of this guide explores the decaying Imperium and the galaxy in which it resides – the long-dead God-Emperor who sits eternal on his Golden Throne, the High Lords and Adeptus bureaucracies that rule in his name, the fanatical Ecclesiarchy which preaches the Imperial faith, the secretive Ordos of the all-seeing Inquisition, and the post-human Space Marines who fight battles no other could endure. You'll also discover the hellish dimension known as the warp, which fuels psychic mutation and interstellar travel, the mad Gods of Chaos who rule its infinite depths, the blasphemous cults that serve them, and the Great Rift that splits realspace itself in two. There's also a double-page galactic map, highlighting vital planets, systems, war zones, and warp storms. The second half delves into the history of the setting, from its myth-shrouded past to the apocalyptic clashes of its present. You'll find a timeline of Humanity's development through the Ages of Terra and Technology, the Ages of Strife and Darkness, all the way to the Age of the Imperium. You'll explore the superstitions that fuelled the Imperium's worship of lost technology and its fearful hatred of aliens and mutants, the Great Crusade through which the Emperor sought to unite Humanity, the Horus Heresy that set the galaxy aflame, and the millennia of war and loss that shaped the Imperium. Finally, you'll enter the Era Indomitus – marked by the opening of the Great Rift, the birth of a new God of Death, and the revival of the Primarch Roboute Guilliman. Even as the new Lord Regent's Indomitus Crusade strives to reunite the dying Imperium, a psychic awakening heralds a terrifying Age of Witches, and Abaddon the Despoiler plagues the galaxy with aid of the daemonic demigod Vashtorr and their Arks of Omen. The return of Lion El'Jonson, the First Primarch of the Emperor, only forestalls total disaster – and with the resurgence of Hive Fleet Leviathan, the galaxy may be reduced to nothing but food for an alien swarm. FACTIONS Explore each of the factions waging war in Warhammer 40,000, with detailed background information plus tactical descriptions and a miniature showcase of their Combat Patrols. The mustered Armies of the Imperium include mighty Space Marine Chapters, the ranks of the Astra Militarum, the fanatical cults of the Adeptus Mechanicus and Adepta Sororitas, and the golden guardians known as the Adeptus Custodes. The blasphemous Forces of Chaos feature ancient Traitor Legions and more recent Heretic Astartes, as well as the otherworldly Chaos Daemons. Finally, the insidious Xenos Threat ranges from the brutish Orks, mercenary Leagues of Votann, and expansionist T'au Empire to the ancient branches of Aeldari and Drukhari, the deathless Necrons, and the ravening Tyranids and their Genestealer Cults. CORE RULES The Warhammer 40,000 Core Rules contain everything you need to know in order to wage glorious battle across the war-torn galaxy of the 41st Millennium. These basic rules are used for games of all sizes and styles, and provide a foundation for use with other supplements. You'll learn the general principles and core concepts of Warhammer 40,000, the datasheets and characteristics used by your models, and the rules that apply to the five phases of the game: the Command phase, the Movement phase, the Shooting phase, the Charge phase, and the Fight phase. You'll also find Stratagems and abilities used by all armies, as well as additional rules for elements like Strategic Reserves, terrain features, and aircraft. Lastly, there are rules for mustering an army, setting up your models for a game, controlling objectives to claim victory, and a mission – Only War – to get you started playing right away. COMBAT PATROL Combat Patrol is the ideal starting point for playing Warhammer 40,000. Fast-paced and quick to learn, it uses the Core Rules to play out tactical clashes that should last up to one hour, using only the contents of Combat Patrol boxes. These forces each have bespoke, self-contained rules which are presented online and in other publications, and provide everything you need to get playing. This section provides an introduction to the Combat Patrol game mode, an explanation of the Battle Ready standard of painting for games, and six different Combat Patrol missions – Clash of Patrols, Archeotech Recovery, Forward Outpost, Scorched Earth, Sweeping Raid, and Display of Might – each with their own objectives, mission rules, and deployment maps for a variety of game experiences. The book concludes with a separate index for the Core Rules, acting as a handy reference for use while playing games. -
The vehicles of the Astra Militarum are as tetchy as they are varied – keeping a tank in combat-ready trim in the oppressive 41st Millennium is not an easy task. To this end, the Tech-Priest Enginseers are an invaluable part of any Imperial Guard detachment. Able to soothe even the most belligerent of machine spirits with binary prayer and mystic rites, these Enginseers wade into the fray fearlessly, wielding cog-toothed power axes and effecting battlefield repairs to their tracked congregation with all the expertise that a lifetime of servitude to the Machine God brings. This multi-part plastic kit contains all the components necessary to assemble one Tech-Priest Enginseer, armed with a cog axe, censer and holstered pistol. Supplied with a Citadel 32mm Round base. -
A huge, ancient robot built ten thousand years ago, the Kastelan Robot is a perfect example of the Adeptus Mechanicus’ repurposing of technology. Nearly unstoppable, their only flaw is that of any mere machine; they will follow instructions to the letter, even if this results in their own demise. A specialist Tech-Priest - the Cybernetica Datasmith - must constantly update and reprogram the Kastelan via order dataslates, lest this enormous, clanking robot simply stride blindly into a nearby chasm. Make no mistake, however; when his controls are set to destroy, the Kastelan will destroy. This ninety-five component multi-part plastic kit contains everything you need to make two Kastelan Robots and one Cybernetica Datasmith. The Kastelan Robots are armed to where their teeth would be, if they had teeth - options include two sets of power fists, two sets of twin-linked phosphor blasters and a choice of carapace-mounted weaponry (incendine combustor or yet another phosphor blaster - two of each are supplied). The Cybernetica Datasmith is armed with a gamma pistol, dataspike and a servo arm assembly featuring a rivet gun. A prehensile socket drill allows him to reprogram the Kastelan Robots on-the-fly. He also features a choice of two heads. The Kastelan Robots are supplied with two Citadel 60mm Round Bases, and the Cybernetica Datasmith includes one Citadel 32mm Round Base. -
Fireblades are the most grizzled and seasoned Fire Warriors of their cadre, whose skill at the Fire Warrior's art leads them to eschew battlesuit technology. They are excellent field leaders and their long experience has taught them exactly where to place shots to maximise damage. The Cadre Fireblade model brings an extra dynamism and level of detail to a T'au collection. The figure is incredibly elaborate, with unique fine-panelled combat armour bearing T'au symbols. With a triumphant expression, in one hand it holds aloft a large bonding knife while in the other it grips a pulse rifle with marker light. Standing on a sculpted base displaying ruined architecture, it wears a long flowing cloak and has long hair that is bound by several clasps in a pony tail. This plastic kit contains 9 components, one of which is a sculpted base, with which to make Cadre Fireblade. This kit comes supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints. -
Designed to offer long-range support, the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit has exceeded expectations, becoming a mainstay of the Hunter Cadres and tank-killers of legendary proportions. Powered by a particle accelerator, a Broadside's heavy rail rifle shot can penetrate the thickest plasteel bunkers. With robust armouring, manoeuvrability and a stack of weapons within the box, the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit provides the T'au collector with a number of options. The kit brings a fresh twist to the line of T'au battlesuits – they're noticeably denser models with a great presence in a collection of miniatures. Each one features a particle accelerator on the back. The standard weapon is for the long and immensely powerful-looking twin-linked rail rifle, though they can be outfitted with eye-wateringly potent and somewhat fist-like twin-linked high yield missile system pods. If that wasn't enough, then you can also use the twin-linked smart missile – enough to please any T'au weapons connoisseur. The kit comes with a Shield Drone and Missile Drone. This multi-part plastic kit contains 91 components and a T'au transfer sheet with which to make a Broadside Battlesuit and two Drones. This kit comes supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints. -
Celestian Sacresants are those elite members of the Adepta Sororitas who have departed the life of a bodyguard for their Canoness, instead questing across the Imperium on behalf of their order. Some root out heresy and sedition, while others hunt down lost relics and holy sites, but all return at their master's call to fight with shield, mace, and blade when the trumpets of war sound. Equipped with their distinct Sacresant shields and clad in the Adepta Sororitas' signature power armour, these close-combat specialists are a durable force on the battlefield, capable of withstanding tremendous firepower. With a choice of armour-piercing anointed halberds or heavy hallowed maces, the Celestian Sacresants are equipped to deal with the enemy's elite and emerge victorious. The kit is comprised of 69 plastic components, with which you can assemble five Celestian Sacresants, one of which may be assembled as a Celestian Superior, and is supplied with 5x Citadel 32mm Round Bases. This kit includes options for hooded or helmeted heads, and may be equipped with either anointed halberds or hallowed maces. -
Killa Kans are essentially giant metal canisters on piston-driven legs that sport lethal close combat attachments and heavy-duty weaponry. One of their limbs usually ends in deadly-looking power shears or a great blood-encrusted buzz saw, whilst the other is a large calibre weapon welded to the opposite side. This box set contains three multi-part plastic Ork Killa Kans. This 94-piece set includes: three variations of Cockpit, three different close combat weapons, a big shoota, a rokkit launcha and a skorcha. While embarked upon a Command Barge, a Necron Overlord is able to oversee the battle, ensuring that his troops are engaged with appropriate targets and that everything is going to plan. The Command Barge is a striking and imposing model. Adorned with Necron iconography and dynastic glyphs, it makes for an impressive addition to any Necron collection. It features a scythe-like mid section, the points of which surround two Necron minions that attend the control dashboard. Above them, a skeletal Necron Lord stands defiantly behind an elegant rail, gesturing forward with his warscythe. This multi-part plastic boxed set contains 84 components, two Citadel Flying Stems, one Citadel 60mm Flying Base, one Citadel 32mm Round Base and two Necron transfer sheets, with which to build one Necron Catacomb Command Barge or one Annihilation Barge. -
Dark Apostles make up the priesthood of the Dark Gods. Just as the Chaplains of the loyalist Space Marines uphold the creeds of their Chapters, the Dark Apostles devote their lives to the propagation of the unholy word, actively spreading the worship of Chaos across the galaxy. Their efforts do not go unrewarded – Dark Apostles are surrounded by daemonic auras of protection that shimmer and writhe as they chant their blasphemous prayers. The Dark Apostle set is a 3-model, multipart plastic kit. The Dark Apostle is an integral HQ choice in a Chaos Space Marines army and can be accompanied by a pair of Dark Disciples. The Dark Apostle bears an accursed crozius and a fell daemonic tome. In battle, he can chant prayers to beseech the Dark Gods for their unholy blessings. The relics of corruption carried by the Dark Disciples aid their master in his prayers to the Chaos Gods. This kit builds one Dark Apostle and two Dark Disciples. It is supplied in 19 plastic components and comes with one 40mm Citadel Round Base and two 25mm Citadel Round Bases. -
Custodian Wardens are known amongst their comrades as level-headed and endlessly patient watchmen. Upon accepting the robes that mark their station they swear binding oaths to fight as immovable sentinels, a living fortress of auramite and sinew that no foe will ever breach. Each Warden’s oaths are personal, written by the Custodian himself after a full year’s contemplation in meditation upon the precipitous ledges of the Gallowtower. To break these vows would be worse than death to these warriors, and their determination to uphold them bolsters their already formidable wills to something of truly frightening intensity. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a squad of 5 Custodian Wardens. Easily recognised by the ceremonial robes they wear over their auramite armour, they’re typically splendid to behold – as with all Adeptus Custodes, every surface of their armour is absolutely covered in beautiful sculpted details, with gemstones, eagles, lightning bolts and filigree wherever you look. Each is armed with a choice of either guardian spear or castellan axe, with 5 of each supplied in the kit. The helmets, helmet plumes and thigh plates in the kit are interchangeable, allowing your Wardens to be unique. The kit can optionally build a Shield-Captain, who has a choice of 2 bare heads, a unique chest plate, unique shoulder pads and his own set of ceremonial robes – he is armed with the choice of castellan axe and guardian spear, and holds a misericordia. As well as this, 1 model can be assembled as a Vexilus Praetor – along with the standard weapon choices he carries a splendid ornate Vexilla. This kit comes as 78 components, and is supplied with 5 Citadel 40mm Round bases. -
